Tucked away in a dimly lit back alley between B.IG and Yellow Brick Road at Plaza Batai, Bukit Damansara, Circa Bar KL is Kuala Lumpur's most talked-about hidden bar. The entrance — a literal "hole in the wall" — leads up a spiral staircase to an unforgettable world of Prohibition-era mystique.
The brainchild of entertainment icons Kesavan Purusotman (KC) and Roen Cian Nagapan, Circa was designed to evoke curiosity and reward discovery. "There is an element of prestige to this place. The very word circa represents ambiguity and the whole journey of its discovery," says Roen.
Inside, mismatched vintage furniture, exposed brick walls, ceiling mirrors, and warm Edison bulb lighting create a charming Parisian boudoir atmosphere. With capacity for over 120 guests, Circa transforms from an intimate cocktail lounge into a pulsating dance floor as the night progresses.

The adventure begins before you even step inside. Navigate to the back alley between B.IG and Yellow Brick Road at Plaza Batai. Look for the golden archway — that's your first clue to glamour.
Climb the spiral staircase, and you'll be greeted by a vintage phone booth with a keypad. You'll need the weekly passcode — found exclusively on our Instagram page — to unlock the door and enter our world.
Once inside, the transformation is complete: exposed brick walls, ceiling mirrors reflecting candlelight, mismatched vintage furniture, a fully stocked bar of premium spirits, and the warmth of genuine Malaysian hospitality.

The code changes every week, so make sure to retrieve it on the day of your visit. Once you have it, enter the code on the keypad beside the phone booth at the top of the spiral staircase.

Walk through the 'hole in the wall' and take the spiral staircase up to the bar. There is ample parking available in the Plaza Batai area.
While we don't enforce a strict dress code, we encourage guests to dress smartly. Given the Parisian boudoir-inspired ambiance and the premium experience we offer, smart casual to cocktail attire is recommended. On Ladies Nights (Thursdays), guests who dress to impress are celebrated. We reserve the right to refuse entry to guests in inappropriate attire.

The average spend per person is approximately RM 80–120, depending on your cocktail selection. Our signature cocktails range from RM 34++ to RM 55++. We also offer bar bites and light snacks. There is no minimum spend, though we recommend arriving early to secure a comfortable seat.
